Cantings |

Sometimes spelled tjantings, these are the wax pens which are used to apply the hot wax resist to your fabric. We have two styles and lots of different spout sizes.

Procion Dyes |

A wide range of colours is now available.
A little goes a very long way with these dyes.
Ideal for painting on in small areas or for making a traditional dye bath.
We also have soda ash for fixing the dyes.

Caps |

Pronounced tjaps, these are the beautiful hand made copper stamps which can be used to apply the whole design at one time.

Wax |

We supply two types of wax, pure beeswax and whire paraffin wax. They can be used alone or mixed together depending on the effect you want.

Fabrics for batik |

We get our cotton from Java where it is specially made for batik. This means that it is ready prepared for dyeing, the wax penetrates easily, it absorbs dye beautifully and it can take a very hot wash with safety.
Also natural undyed hemp from Thailand.

Waxpots |
| |
This waxpot is the most reliable we have found. It has a thermostat with 7 different temperature settings and can heat wax up to 135°C - ideal for the finest cantings.
