We get our cotton from Java where it is specially made for batik. This means that it is ready prepared for dyeing, the wax penetrates easily, it absorbs dye beautifully and it can take a very hot wash with safety. The width is 42 inches.

Primissima is the highest grade of cotton and is used for very fine batik - a high thread count and very smooth surface.

Prima is the second grade of cotton with a lower thread count and a very good lawn surface.

Rayon White rayon from Java - very good for sarongs, scarves, skirts etc wherever you need the fabric to drape.
