Vintage Javanese batik cloth

This batik cloth comes from vintage Javanese sarongs. The designs are old and traditional and the cloth may be more than 30 years old and therefore dyed with the old soga and indigo vegetable dyes. This gives the batik its beautiful subtle colours.

As the pieces are unique it will be difficult to match one single design for more than two metres. The photographs are a guide to the type of designs available.
