Naturally dyed cotton jacket

A beautiful hand-woven jacket in natural dyed colours from Northern Thailand.

This jacket is made by Nisachon Boonpasung - who is known as "The indigo champion of Isaan". Isaan is a region on the borders with Laos which is the poorest in Thailand. 

Niscahon has set up several projects in the villages around where she lives which give work to local dyers and weavers. These highly skilled people find it very difficult to find work once the rice harvest is finished.

By finding a market for her beautiful jackets, Nisachon is able to provide work for them which use their traditional skills.

These jackets are all hand made so there will be some differences in colour and fabric designs
